Our Programmes

Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa offers a range of programmes and activities across Auckland which aim to prevent diabetes and its complications. 

We custom design resources and new to fit, as well as delivering our popular range of Ministry of Health funded programmes, Cook'nKiwi, GetWize2Health Healthy Schools, Gardens4Health and Healthy Workplaces.  

We work towards making the healthy choice become the easy choice, whether it's in the home, school, workplace, church, organisation, or elsewhere.

COOK N KIWI

Thanks to Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa, The Ministry of Health funded Cook'n Kiwi programme is here to provide support and advice to groups in the community about eating healthy on a budget.

GARDENS4HEALTH

Growing healthy communities is the aim of this popular programme which provides advice and support to set up new and maintain existing community food gardens and related ventures.

HEALTHY SCHOOLS

This Ministry of Health funded programme works to provide curriculum based, practical resources and training for Auckland Secondary Schools.

HEALTHY WORKPLACES

This fully funded programme starts with a visit to the workplace to discuss the needs of both the workforce and the management with a view to making the healthy choices the easy choices.

DIABETES SUMMIT

We hold Diabetes Summits annually to recap research projects and discuss Diabetes in Aotearoa. 

RESEARCH

Our Research team are always working on different research projects around the prevention of Diabetes in Aotearoa.
