Schools Poster presented at Middlemore Science Fest

RIP Dr David Scott - Leading figure in Diabetes passes away

A key figure in the New Zealand diabetes scene, Dr David Scott, passed away in March 2007 at the age of 77.   Christchurch born, Dr Scott's chosen profession of medicine started at Otago Medical school, and he had further education and experience in Europe, the US and Australia. Publication - DCSS - Ethnic Differences in Type 2 diabetes care and outcomes

This Paper published in NZ Medical Journal by Tom Robinson from DCSS data available at the time.   Māori and Pacific people with diabetes who attend a regular GP had a higher average number of consultations than Europeans and were likely as Europeans to have undergone important regular examinations and investigations.
