Award for "Stay in Touch" video

Diabetes Projects Trust's 2003 short educational film for teens, "Stay in Touch', has received a "certificate of creative excellence" at the US International Film and Video Festival.   The video tells the story of a 13 year old Sam whose body has just had enough of his lifestyle and decides to tell him all about it by sending him text messages. Annual Activity Report 2003-2004

Report covering the July 2003 to June 2004 financial year.   This year included Dr David Scott standing down as Medical Director and the appointment of Dr Tom Robinson in that role, a new video "Stay in touch", and work on 'Train the Trainers' as a model for service delivery.   Our Kaumatua and community issues advisor Bill Wiki reminds us that the most important thing is "e tangata, e tangata, e tangata"...

Poster - ADS/ADEA - Youth - our work in schools

Publication - Passport Study

Otara Diabetes Awareness week 2001

The 2001 Otara Diabetes Awareness week was held in the Town Centre as a results of planning from the November 2000 Otara network forum.    The aim was to "increase diabetes awareness in the Otara community with prevention activities designed and run by the community".  A long list of organisations participated and made the event possible including sponsors, Hubbards Food Products, Johnson & Johnson Pacific, Roche Diagnostics and the Otara Community Board....
