Diabetes Projects Trust has been in the Alexander Crescent unit for 10 years, sharing premises (with much gratitude!), many discussions around the lunch table, and consultations and experiences with the CMDHB Otara Diabetes Clinic team. Now the DPT get their own space as the DHB nurses, dietitian, podiatrist and other team members are on the move. Facilitated by DPT Board member, Caran Barratt-Boyes, the DHB team's new premises are in the MIT School of Nursing, just over the road in the Otara Town Centre. They go into specialty clinic spaces in A Block, which will be shared with the students as part of a collaborative initiative with the learning institution.
All DPT services continue after taking over the lease and embarking on renovation of the Alexander Crescent building, including Eye Screening on limited days out of the office.
