Congratulations Diana

We have a new Lifestyle Team Leader!  Many of you know already Diana Anderson from her roles in Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa for the last 14 years, but it may not be so well known that she is a Registered Nutritionist  with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand and has a masters in nutrition science. Diana's thesis was on 'Food industry and Consumer attitudes towards and consumer knowledge of  food labels', a very relevant topic working with nutrition in the community.

When Diana started with the organisation back in 2009, she brought with her skills and knowledge from a varied background which included among other things, university lecturer, research, management, and practical food handling.   With our organisation she has had senior roles in the Lifestyle Programme over the years, taking responsibility for delivery of first Cook'nKiwi and then Workplaces, then adding in more of a coordination role across the Lifestyle programme.  Diana has also been instrumental in the delivery of a number of projects and programmes outside the Lifestyle programme, the latest is the successful, ongoing, Adolescent Bariatric research project.

Congratulations Diana. And thank you for the mahi you do and have done, we look forward to continuing to work with you in this new role!
