Our Board Chair, Dr John Baker received the Commercial Research Award sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim at the annual Celebrating Research across Aotearoa’s research community event last week.
As described on the website of Aotearoa Clinical Trials, "The Commercial Research Award recognises an investigator who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in commercial clinical research while helping strengthen research capability and opportunities for future generations. An investigator who continues to position Middlemore Hospital, Aotearoa Clinical trials and Aotearoa New Zealand at the forefront of international clinical research." The award was collected by Kanchana Perera on Dr Baker's behalf after Kanchana successfully delivered a presentation relating to her PhD research.
